getting to know us... Black Forest Christian Fellowship has been part of the English-language community of Kandern, Germany and the surrounding area for over 25 years. BFCF has been very closely associated with the Black Forest Academy (BFA) for many years. In fact we began as a way for BFA to provide Sunday morning fellowship and worship for the staff and students of this school for missionary children. As time went on other English-speaking families ― including many missionaries ― living in the Kandern area began to take part in the services as well. In recent years a number of other English-speaking internationals from the surrounding areas of the Black Forest; Basel, Switzerland; and the French Alsace have made BFCF their church home. Today BFCF is an autonomous local church with its own board of elders and deacons and has been incorporated as a non-profit organization under German law. But we continue to have a warm and special collaborative relationship with the Black Forest Academy. We meet in the BFA auditorium. We also sense a special calling to serve many of the 300 or more missionary children who attend BFA as well as the many missionaries who are part of the BFA staff. Of course many other missionaries and international families also make BFCF their church home. We extend a warm welcome to all English-speaking believers in the area to make BFCF their spiritual home. Please join us! |
